Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Project Manager to join our team at BAE Systems.



About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising commissioning activities, overseeing electrical rip outs for the weapons section, reviewing and authorizing test documentation in relation to the weapons test section, and reviewing and planning training and development of electrical engineers within the section.


You will also deputise for the weapons managers in their absence, act as temporary lead covering all weapons section meetings, and liaise with other test departments to ensure safe control of work.


In this role, you will be working on advanced weapons equipment requiring a high specialist focus. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.



Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising commissioning activities
  • Overseeing Electrical Rip outs for the weapons section
  • Reviewing and authorizing test documentation in relation to the weapons test section
  • Reviewing and planning training and development of electrical engineers within the section
  • Deputising for the weapons managers in their absence
  • Liaising with other test departments to ensure safe control of work


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have experience in commissioning engineering, reviewing electrical and weapons technical documentation and drawings, and knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environment.


In addition, you should have experience or knowledge with instrumentation systems including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications & Fibre Optics.


Desirable skills include experience with Spice, SAP, or Primavera P6.
