Supply Chain Team Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Team Leader to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for leading a team of supply chain assistants and ensuring the smooth operation of our stores and distribution services.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading a team of supply chain assistants to ensure the receipt, storage, distribution, and supply of goods across the Trust
- Managing stock control procedures, including offloading of deliveries and restocking of storage areas
- Providing a service to customers throughout the Trust and external customers in a timely and convenient manner
- Assisting with procurement advice for allocated savings projects and providing information on relevant UK purchasing legislation
- Developing the service provided to customers in response to their requirements and changes within the Trust and external markets
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant NVQ 3 Stores Management/Customer Services/CIPS qualification or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of stock control systems and computer literacy with detailed knowledge of basic computer packages and e-Procurement Systems
- Ability to manage a team of supply chain assistants and create and maintain good working relationships inside and outside of the department
- Well-organized with a systematic approach to work and ability to effectively manage discrepancies and notify suppliers/finance of any adjustments
- Strong interpersonal skills and good standard of oral and written communication
