About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENDCo to join our team at an outstanding secondary school in Merton, London. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the SEND provision for our diverse student body, ensuring all students receive tailored support to succeed.

As a SENDCo, you will have a proven track record of managing a diverse caseload of EHCPs and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering training and CPD to colleagues, helping to ensure all teachers are highly skilled in supporting SEND students as part of their daily practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the SEND provision for a diverse student body, ensuring all students receive tailored support to succeed.
  • Manage and maintain a varied caseload of EHCPs and act as the key point of contact for external agencies and families.
  • Lead staff CPD and training in inclusive teaching practices, embedding SEND awareness and strategies across the academy.
  • Build on strong partnerships with external stakeholders, including parents and carers, to ensure the best outcomes for SEND students.
About You

We are looking for a NASENDCo-qualified professional with a proven ability to manage a diverse range of SEND needs, with a commitment to inclusion and high standards. You will have strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
