The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the redesign of service provision in line with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's Clinical Futures strategy and the Welsh Government's Future Delivery of Pathology Services in Wales document.

This position involves providing clinical and laboratory Cellular Pathology services to a catchment population of 600,000 within a team setting. The laboratory boasts full UKAS ISO15189 accreditation and is networked for comprehensive coverage in the area.

Key responsibilities include reporting the current histopathology backlog with a focus on GI and skin backlogs, although the ability to report other specialties will be beneficial.
