Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager to lead our Production Workshop, overseeing site and employee performance, safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the productivity of the workshop, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.
- Maintain high levels of quality, including quality control and adherence to industry standards.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed comprehensively, including check sheets and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with the Production Director on constraints to productivity and maintenance.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure statutory requirements are fulfilled by operators, including health and safety and COSHH regulations.
- Maintain insurance company requirements and minimize non-productive time.
- Achieve productivity targets and drive business growth.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a site or bodyshop manager in the automotive industry.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the body repair of motor vehicles environment.
- Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead a team to deliver results.
- Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience, with an understanding of modern repair processes and techniques.
- Pro-active approach to managing the customer journey, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage a varied workload.
- Good attention to detail and comfortable using MS Office.
- Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Upbeat and friendly personality.
- Technical skills, knowledge, and experience of body and paint repair in the retail motor industry.
