Job Overview:

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a skilled Machine Control Systems Specialist to join their team in Derby. As a Machine Control Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machine control systems on various types of construction and surveying machinery.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, calibrate, and configure machine control systems on construction and surveying equipment.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on machine control systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide technical support and ensure smooth system operation.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and updates to equipment as required.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs are completed in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Keep detailed records of all work conducted and provide clear reports on system performance and issues.
Requirements:
  • Have prior experience as a plant mechanic or HGV mechanic or background in mechanical engineering or industry led qualification.
  • Must be able to work well within a team environment and integrate fully into the ethos and ethics of the team.
  • The ability to perform all duties in a positive and professional manner and uphold PQS Value's.
  • A knowledge or survey/construction instruments is preferable but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic control systems and electrical systems including CAN bus on mechanical systems advantageous, but not essential.
  • Welding, fabrication, and engineering abilities advantageous.
  • Be an inquisitive learner with the ability to follow detailed technical user guides.
  • Ability to understand technical or mechanical issues related to construction machinery.
  • Enjoy working outdoors.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and eye for detail.
  • Be happy to travel and enjoy flexible working days.
  • Have the resilience to be able to deal with a demanding construction environment.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • CPCS, CSCS card advantageous.
