Estimator Job Description

Reed is seeking a skilled Estimator to partner with an established carpet specialist in East Sussex. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to measure and assess flooring requirements.
  • Create detailed floor plans and coordinate with fitters to ensure precise installations.
  • Manage customer interactions, including taking deposits and finalising sales.
  • Assist with the physical handling of goods in the warehouse, including loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records by updating databases and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Order goods and manage inventory to ensure availability of products.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with clients professionally.
  • Experience in measuring and planning for flooring installations.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks in the warehouse.
  • Proficient in administrative duties and database management.
  • Competent in handling financial transactions and taking deposits.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
