We are currently advertising for 3 Project Assistants (Archaeology) and 1 Project Assistant (Depositions), both posts ideally suited for early careers applicants with an interest in archaeological finds and archives.

The successful candidates will join our team at the National Museums London Hackney Store, where they will work on improving and expanding our archaeological collections data.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for early careers applicants with an interest in archaeological finds and archives to join our team at the National Museums London Hackney Store.

We are seeking a goal-driven individual who can manage their own workload and time effectively, and has the ability to work to deadlines in a project environment.

The successful candidate will have a background in archaeology and be looking to grow their experience in cataloguing and learn about collections management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess new depositions, highlighting discrepancies or anomalies, to ensure all material is archived according to the museum's standards.
  2. Repack, catalogue, and barcode part of our bulk legacy archive.
