Job Title:

Clinical Psychologist - Offender Health Specialist

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological services to patients at HMP Fosse Way. A comprehensive approach is used, incorporating interventions at different levels, including therapeutic milieu, psycho-education, support, and individual/group therapies. Key models of therapy include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Art therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist formulation-driven psychological assessment and therapy.
  • Support, educate, and train staff.
  • Assist in planning and evaluating the service.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychology, with eligibility for chartered status.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
