Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of junior engineers in the design of temporary and permanent works schemes
  • Provide technical expertise in the design of temporary and permanent works schemes
  • Manage the production of drawings, calculations, and specifications for temporary and permanent works schemes
  • Develop and implement innovative construction methods and engineering solutions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and published guidance
  • Manage and maintain a sound, up-to-date knowledge of legislation and industry developments
  • Develop and implement quality procedures and ensure compliance with quality procedures
  • Assist in the production and development of training modules to meet business unit objectives
  • Deliver temporary works training to site-based engineering staff
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CEng, MICE, MIStructE)
  • Strong technical background in structural engineering
  • Fluency in designing with mainstream structural materials (steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, etc.) using Eurocodes
  • Geotechnical design capability
  • Familiarity with proprietary falsework, formwork, and shoring equipment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
