We are seeking a skilled digital lawyer to join our team at MI6, the Secret Intelligence Service. As a digital lawyer, you will play a critical role in advising on the development of new technologies for use in operations, leading to complex domestic and international law considerations.

You will work closely with our operational and capability teams, building effective relationships and liaising with colleagues in other government departments. Your expertise will be essential in providing sensible, practical, and risk-based advice to support MI6's work.

This is a fascinating role where you will represent MI6 legal advisers within and outside the organisation, alongside senior stakeholders. You may also be asked to advise on handling litigation brought against the UK Government which affects MI6.

About You

We are looking for a lawyer with a creative and enthusiastic approach, who can bring novel legal solutions to complex and sensitive matters. You will need to be a lawyer (solicitor, barrister or legal executive) fully qualified to practice in England and Wales, with a current Practicing Certificate.

You will have a growth-mindset and a desire to learn, to ensure you stay up to date with legal developments and can actively contribute to building legal awareness and skills amongst the team.
