About the Role

As a Backend Developer at Roke, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and engineering software and products for our National Security customers. This will involve creating innovative solutions to mission-critical customer problems, integrating and developing against open-source components and frameworks, and understanding and applying new and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Experience with Python, Java, C#, Go, and supporting backend frameworks
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems
  • Understanding of message brokering, serialization, and queueing systems
  • Experience with microservices, containers, and hosts
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code
  • Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud
  • Experience with Git and version control systems

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years.
