Job Overview

Maple Grove School is a newly opened specialist setting for learners with autism, situated in Chester.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the school's mission to provide an exceptional learning environment, where every individual can fulfill their potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • To observe teachers and provide high-quality diagnostic feedback to enable rapid skill development.
  • To adapt coaching methods according to the teacher's needs.
  • To analyze teaching and provide strategies for improvement.
  • To motivate and inspire teachers to align with the school's vision and strategic direction.
  • To plan and lead INSET training as required by the school.
  • To conduct learning walks and measure consistency across the school, informing further staff training.
  • Internal Quality Assurer of at least one qualification at Maple Grove School.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in classroom teaching.
  2. A sound understanding of Special Educational Needs complexity.
  3. The ability to build on existing good practice within the school.
  4. Experience working with pupils with various learning and behavioral needs.
  5. Experience working with diverse backgrounds.
  6. Able to foster mutual respect among adults and pupils.
  7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  8. Additional relevant qualifications/training desirable.
