Pharmacy Technician Higher Level

NHS Scotland is committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care, and we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will support technical pharmacy services within HIV, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for career progression, with a new post, Operational Pharmacy Team Lead, to be created to supervise the delivery of technical pharmacy services in a new single pharmacy premise.

We are looking for a pharmacy technician from either primary or secondary care background, passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centered care and demonstrating NHS Lothian core values. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for working with an extensive multidisciplinary team and building professional relationships.

Candidates must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), have a Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technician (PDCT) National Qualification or equivalent, and HNC in Pharmacy Services Development and Management or equivalent qualification or relevant experience. If the successful candidate does not hold the HNC or equivalent qualification, they will be expected to engage in completing the appropriate post-registration qualification in post.
