Job Title: Voids Operative and Driver

We are seeking a skilled Voids Operative and Driver to join our team at Service Care Solutions. As a Voids Operative and Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out void and repairs work in Devon, covering various locations as part of a team. Your duties will include assisting other staff in carrying out void and responsive repairs works, undertaking duties that do not require a formal trade qualification, and driving vehicles up to and exceeding 7.5 tonnes, towing trailers, and operating plant machinery.



Key responsibilities include:




  • Carrying out clearances of tenants' furniture and belongings, either to the Local Authority transfer station, landfill site, or to a designated store, as instructed by the Voids Supervisor.
  • Demolishing and clearing away garden sheds and other small external structures.
  • Carrying out basic gardening, such as 'strimming' and cutting back shrubs and tree branches.
  • Carrying out ground works such as excavating fence post holes and trenches, terracing land, and clearing away excess soil with a mini digger.
  • Undertaking general labouring duties such as lifting and mixing of plaster.


As a Voids Operative and Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to work effectively as part of a team. You will be required to have a valid licence and experience of driving vehicles up to and exceeding 7.5 tonnes, towing trailers, and operating plant machinery.
