Senior Software Security Specialists are highly valued at Oracle, a pioneer in cloud solutions, to enhance security in the SaaS Cloud Security organization.

This team protects enterprise-grade software services for 25,000 customers, handling over 60 billion transactions daily.

As a senior engineer, you will build tools and applications to strengthen security in Oracle's SaaS cloud and infrastructure.

Your primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing multi-year security strategies to improve the security and compliance posture of Oracle's SaaS services.

The organization adopts a DevSecOps approach, creating new cybersecurity solutions and integrating them with existing third-party vendor security systems.

  • You will work closely with the system architecture and design team, applying modern programming practices.
  • You will leverage your expertise in building, deploying, and maintaining distributed and resilient systems to craft simple, scalable, performant, and secure architectures.
  • You will cultivate a culture of quality and attention to detail at Oracle through your multi-faceted leadership approach, encompassing results delivered by your team, innovation, mentorship, and the creation of world-class security management solutions.
  • You will collaborate with partners and peers in security operations who utilize your software for security analysis and management activities.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8 years of experience in software product development.
  2. Experience building and deploying microservices or streaming systems on popular cloud infrastructures.
  3. Experience with one functional programming language (ideally Scala but also F# or Haskell) and any functional programming tool.
  4. Experience with the Rust programming language is beneficial.
  5. Experience with one or more data storage solutions (e.g. Oracle, Cassandra, Redis).

This role comes with an estimated annual salary of $140,000 - $220,000, depending on location and experience.
