About the Opportunity

Derby College Group is a leading education provider in the UK, supporting employers across the region and beyond. We are currently seeking a skilled Teacher of Plumbing to join our Building Services team at the historic Roundhouse Campus in Derby.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced plumbing professional to teach students who will become the workforce of the future. As a Teacher of Plumbing, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this field.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and deliver engaging and effective learning programs in plumbing and related areas.
  • To assess student progress and provide feedback to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment results.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd).
  • Experience in plumbing or a related field (e.g., construction, engineering).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong ability to motivate and inspire learners.
