About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our team at Eden Scott, a leading wealth management firm based in Glasgow. As a Paraplanner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Advisers and helping us deliver exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of Suitability Reports: You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive suitability reports for our clients, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately presented and up-to-date.
  2. Liaising with Product Providers: You will work closely with product providers to collate pension and investment information for replacement contracts, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place.
  3. Technical Support: You will provide technical support to the team, assisting with paraplanning and research tasks, and helping to maintain our knowledge base.
  4. Market Research: You will conduct market research on behalf of our Financial Advisers, providing them with valuable insights and recommendations to inform their client meetings.
  5. Due Diligence Reviews: You will assist in the ongoing due diligence reviews of investment funds and platforms, ensuring that our clients' investments are aligned with their goals and risk tolerance.
  6. Support to Financial Advisers: You will provide administrative support to our Financial Advisers, helping them to deliver exceptional client service and achieve their business objectives.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA, either having completed your exams or made significant progress towards them.
  • Strong knowledge of pensions and investments, with excellent report writing skills.
  • Experience of using research tools such as FE Analytics, and ideally knowledge of Intelligent Office.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and supporting the growth of our business.
