Job Description

We are seeking a Companionship Specialist to complement the delivery of services within our Trust and enhance patient/client care. The role offers an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with older individuals, reduce social isolation, and increase their quality of life.

The successful candidate will visit patients/clients in their own homes for companionship, plan activities, and transport them to social events using their vehicle or other local transport means. A Volunteer Befriender does not need to drive, so this is an inclusive opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and support in patients'/clients' homes
  • Plan and arrange social activities, such as outings and group gatherings
  • Assist patients/clients in planning daily living activities, including transportation
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to accommodate varied schedules and needs

The estimated salary for this position is around £18,000 - £20,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This role is perfect for those who want to make a positive impact in their community and enjoy building connections with others.
