Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of building maintenance and operational efficiency across all properties in the Estate
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations for all facilities
  • Develop partnerships with Contractors and service providers and suppliers to deliver high-quality services efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and property planning to ensure the sustainability and resilience of the estate
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in facility management practices, promoting sustainable and efficient operations
  • Successfully manage the closing down of sites, including overseeing dilapidation works and ensuring all lease end requirements are met
  • Effectively handle escalated issues related to facility operations and maintenance, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution
  • Through effective organisational design, implement a team structure which will see you lead and manager a team of Facilities Managers and Coordinators
  • Ownership of the Real Estate Facilities budget starting at £2 million with it likely to expand.
  • Robust planning, creating and operationalising a 24 month horizon plan to cover maintenance, contracts and legislation changes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within a mixed-use or multi-site environment
  • Chartered member of IWFM or international equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, IOSH managing safely or NEBOSH
  • Proven ability to manage landlord relations, maintaining effective communication and negotiation to ensure favorable outcomes for the organisation
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and process implementation
  • Experience in move planning and execution, ensuring seamless transitions during relocations or office reconfigurations
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team
