Job Title: Estates and Environmental Services Team Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 36 hours per week

Location: Croydon (with occasional remote work)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Estates and Environmental Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional services, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, and promoting equality in staff management and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and motivate a team of caretakers and bulk refuse drivers/loaders to provide high-quality estates and environmental maintenance services.
  2. Embed a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement within the team.
  3. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation related to caretaking, environmental cleanliness, and well-being.
  4. Promote equality in staff management and service delivery.
  5. Conduct fire risk assessments and collaborate with other teams and stakeholders.
  6. Lead and manage a team of caretakers, including training and performance management.
  7. Attend evening meetings and possess a valid driving license.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in estates and environmental maintenance.
  2. Proven ability to provide safe and comfortable homes and estates.
  3. Experience in delivering excellent customer service and driving continuous improvement.
  4. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience leading a team of ground maintenance/caretakers.
  5. A valid driving license.
