Job Title: Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Inspire People. As a key member of our IT Operations Practice, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining HM Land Registry's network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership for the Networks team and take forward technical consolidation/improvement activities.
  2. Support HM Land Registry Network Infrastructure, encompassing data centres, local offices across England and Wales, and cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS and Azure.
  3. Use networking skills to continually design and develop the network topology to meet business needs.
  4. Contribute to the continual improvement of the practice and the IT Operations community, supporting community members to build and maintain cohesion.
  5. Occasional hands-on with reconfiguration, troubleshooting, rolling out new equipment, and quality assurance.
  6. Routing configurations using standard enterprise routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP.
  7. Firewall configuration, including policy, routing, and design.
  8. Physical network design.
  9. Design and operation of cloud network solutions.
  10. Experience of planning and leading on the delivery of large-scale network infrastructure change.
