About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ecology Graduate to join our Manchester office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys, including preliminary ecological appraisals, Phase 1 habitat surveys, and protected species surveys. You will also be involved in ecological impact assessments, biodiversity net gain assignments, and habitat and species surveys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys, including preliminary ecological appraisals, Phase 1 habitat surveys, and protected species surveys.
  • Contribute to ecological impact assessments, biodiversity net gain assignments, and habitat and species surveys.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure high-quality results and meet project deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • 2:1 degree or above in Ecology or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UK wildlife and plant and animal identification skills.
  • Excellent field skills and ability to work safely.
  • Previous experience in protected species surveys and ecological impact assessments.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continued education and improvement.
