About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radar Integration Specialist to join our team at Leonardo. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in integration engineering and contribute to high-profile radar projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the integration team to deliver high-quality, robust hardware and software solutions that meet project requirements on time and within budget.
- Develop integration, acceptance, verification, and qualification strategies, write, and conduct associated test procedures, and document test results to achieve acceptance/certification from relevant design authorities.
- Derive interface/functional design requirements and support their flow across the system.
- Support software/hardware teams with development of low-level functionality and system teams with system integration.
- Opportunity to develop mentoring and coaching skills and lead sub-system level testing and evaluation in a laboratory environment.
About You:
- Integration Engineering: Experience performing IVV&Q activities and demonstrating an understanding of the engineering lifecycle.
- Requirements Management: Awareness of requirements management, its application to IVV&Q, and experience in mapping requirements to test activities.
- Demonstrable experience in writing and reviewing high-quality technical documentation.
- Experience in completing, reporting, and collating test evidence to demonstrate design compliance.
- Engineering Gate Reviews: Experience of engineering gate reviews and the associated assessment of design compliance.
Hardware Engineering:
- Analogue and Digital Electronics: Experience working with analogue and digital electronics in a lab environment using a range of lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.
- COTS and Custom Equipment: Experience integrating COTS and custom equipment using various interface types (electrical, serial, and optical).
- Hardware, Firmware, and Software Integration: An understanding of how hardware, firmware (FPGA), and software are integrated.
Tools:
- Micorsoft Office Products: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products to create and maintain technical documentation.
- Fault Reporting Tools: Experience using fault reporting tools such as JIRA.
- Requirement Capture Tools: Experience using requirement capture tools such as DOORS.
Soft Skills and Tools:
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Self-Motivated with an Aptitude for Problem Solving and Driving Difficult Issues to Conclusion.
Qualifications:
- Techincal Degree or Equivalent in Electrical & Electronic or Systems Engineering.
- Three Years or Greater Experience in an Equivalent Role or Transferable Knowledge and Experience from Relevant Similar Roles e.g. Systems/Hardware/Firmware/Software Engineering.
- Ability to Obtain SC Clearance.
Compensation and Benefits:
Leonardo offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including flexible working hours, company-funded flexible benefits, 25 days of paid holiday, and access to a wide range of employee perks and discounts.
