Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan and manage electrical projects, including determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, and verifying code requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage electrical teams across multiple sites, ensuring safety is the top priority and that teams have the necessary qualifications and skills.
  • Design and Development: Drive standardization and best practices within the electrical teams and develop electrical designs for new and existing products.
  • Communication: Liaise with production management teams and other stakeholders to deliver projects and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Possess a deep understanding of IEE regulations, 18th Edition, and all aspects of electrical installation, testing, and inspection.
  • Performance Management: Consistently demonstrate and promote high standards of safety behavior, leading by example, and manage performance to meet project targets, KPIs, and personal development.
  • Documentation: Produce documents, including RAMS, NICEIC certificates, and O&M files.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in an electrical management position, preferably with rail industry experience.
  • Qualifications: HNC, HND, or BEng in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Skills: Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Certifications: Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme/Indentures (or AM2), City & Guilds 2360, or NVQ Level 3 electrical installation, City & Guilds 2382 (IEE Wiring Regs - 18th Edition), and City & Guilds 2395 Inspection, Testing, and Certification.
