Support Companion for 17-year-old Female Wheelchair User

Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and compassionate individual to provide companionship and support to a 17-year-old female wheelchair user living in the Southdown area of Bath. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, provide emotional support, and help the individual maintain their independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the individual
- Assist with daily activities, such as meal preparation and social activities
- Help the individual maintain their independence and engage in leisure activities
- Respect the individual's privacy and confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with the individual and their family
Requirements
- Patience and understanding when interacting with the individual
- Excellent communication and social skills
- Ability to respect confidentiality and privacy
- Reliability and responsibility in providing support
- DBS check and references required
Working Arrangements
- 2-4 hours per week during school holidays, with potential to increase over time
- Flexible working days to accommodate the individual's needs
- £11.44 per hour, paid through the PAYE scheme
- 5.6 weeks' holiday per year, including bank holidays (pro rata for part-time)

- Ability to act in an understanding, patient, and calm manner
