At OXBO, we're seeking a Community Liaison Officer to act as the primary point of contact between our company and local communities affected by our solar, onshore wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

The successful candidate will foster positive relationships, address community concerns, and ensure transparent communication throughout the development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, landowners, and other stakeholders.
  • Community Outreach: Organise and lead public consultations, meetings, and events to communicate project details and gather feedback.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve community concerns promptly, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Communication: Develop clear and accessible materials to keep communities informed about project developments.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the project team on community feedback, concerns, and engagement activities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in community engagement, public relations, or similar roles.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts, strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
