About the Role
Gibson Search is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the conversion solutions of industrial materials handling equipment, used in hazardous environments, requiring expertise in ATEX and Ex knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop design and project documentation for electrical systems integration into mechanical and electrical vehicles and equipment.
- Select components for integration into original machine electrical systems, ensuring compliance with ATEX requirements.
- Specify test requirements to support compliance and provide pre and post customer support.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to find solutions and optimize electrical design.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Degree or HND qualified in electrical, electronic, or automotive engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in MOD, Aerospace/Defence, or Marine sectors, with proficiency in power and electrical design.
- Familiarity with ATEX, Ex, and/or IEC Ex, and proficiency in using AutoCAD electrical.
