Job Title: Heating and Plumbing Engineer

Panks is a family-run business with a rich history dating back to 1842. We are currently seeking two skilled Gas and Plumbing Engineers to join our team in Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out plumbing works, installations, and servicing of boilers, as well as other duties as required.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Installation, servicing, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of gas and oil-fired boilers.
  2. Installation, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of bathrooms and showers.
  3. Installation of waste systems.
  4. Installation of radiators, cylinders, and tanks.
  5. Installation of pipework, including copper, MDPE, soil, stack, and solvent.
  6. Installation of valves and controls.
  7. Minor heating repairs.
  8. Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
  9. Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  1. Mechanical support of installations in a commercial and domestic environment.
  2. Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and responding to breakdowns with clean and dirty water systems.
  3. Providing support on technical issues for customers and staff.
  4. Methodical working with accurate planning and reporting skills.
  5. Working to recognized industry standards at all times.
  6. Assisting other trades as required.
  7. Site managing and supporting projects from start to finish.
  8. Ensuring all paperwork for projects is kept up to date.
  9. Supporting the manager with any duties required.
  10. Working knowledge of pipework installations and pumps (essential).
  11. Electrical aptitude (desirable).
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating and/or Gas qualifications.
  2. Mechanical Engineering qualification - desirable.
  3. Full driving license - essential.
  4. Current CSCS/ECS card - essential.
  5. Confined Spaces trained - desirable.
  6. Minimum 2 years' experience.
