About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager Interior Doors to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with independent builders merchants and specialist door retailers, joinery retailers, and distributors.
Your primary focus will be on selling a comprehensive range of high-quality interior doors and ancillary products, with a strong emphasis on account management and new business development. You will inherit a well-established area currently turning over circa £5-6m, with order values ranging from around £2k - £60k per month.
Key Responsibilities:- Field sales position selling interior doors and ancillary products to independent builders merchants and specialist door retailers, joinery retailers, and distributors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, with a focus on account management and new business development.
- Liaise with internal team regarding account management of existing clients and internal support staff and marketing team to maximise sales within your territory.
- Organise your own diary and visits to develop relationships with merchants and maximise sales opportunities.
- Must have field sales experience selling to builders merchants.
- Open to products sold, but knowledge of joinery products such as windows, doors, skirtingboard, internal doors, flooring, or related products is advantageous.
- New business hunter mentality, not looking for an account management role.
- Experience of developing long-term relationships with clients.
- Track record of stability within your career.
- Genuine get-up-and-go work ethic.
- Results-oriented, hungry, and enthusiastic.
