About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical haematology team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our haematology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in haematology, including laboratory and transfusion haematology, and myelodysplasia/myeloproliferative neoplasms.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with haematological disorders, including malignant and non-malignant conditions.
  • Conduct ward rounds and provide on-call services to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement haematology services, including outpatient clinics, in-patient services, and chemotherapy and day unit services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
Requirements
  • Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration within six months of interview.
  • UK-trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
  • Non-UK-trained applicants must show evidence of equivalence to the UK CCT.
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
