Aircraft Structures Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structures Analyst to join our Advanced Aerostructures group in Prestwick. As an Aircraft Structures Analyst, you will be responsible for defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and your team members.
The successful candidate will have a STEM-related degree or relevant aerospace engineering experience. Familiarity with structural fatigue and fracture mechanics, dynamics, vibration, and acoustic effects analysis methods is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and to your team members as part of the Advanced Aerostructures group.
- Reviewing, checking, and approving work done by less experienced colleagues.
- Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team's knowledge, skill, and experience across the Structures discipline.
- Ensuring effective interactions between team mates, suppliers, customers, and others, to develop efficient and effective working practices, and resolving issues as they arise to maintain this effectiveness.
Requirements:
- A STEM-related degree or relevant aerospace engineering experience.
- Familiarity with structural fatigue and fracture mechanics, dynamics, vibration, and acoustic effects analysis methods.
- Good understanding of classical structural analysis techniques and methods.
- Experience in using and applying structural analysis tools such as Nastran and output data processing techniques.
- You will have experience of leading engineers in developing and delivering satisfactory customer outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience of Aircraft Structural Engineering, and the application of F&DT analysis.
