Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Adviser to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will provide high-quality HR advice, guidance, and support services to our schools and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to senior managers on complex staffing issues, including employee relations, reward, resourcing, and training development.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with supported leaders, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure HR advice supports delivery of positive outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to line managers on how to manage potential ER issues at the informal stage, promoting good people management practices across the organisation.
  • Prepare settlement agreement paperwork and undertake necessary follow-up case actions.
  • Support at Employment Tribunals, liaising with legal colleagues as needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Experience of advising on and supporting restructures, redundancies, TUPE, and re-deployment.
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment and building positive and productive relationships with unions.
  • Experience of providing high-quality professional HR advice and guidance on complex employment issues.
  • Experience of ER procedures and processes, including employment tribunals.

Working Arrangements:

The role is hybrid, with most work being done from home and occasional attendance at meetings in schools. The postholder will need to be flexible and able to work outside of standard hours on occasion.
