Job Description

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist to join our Neurodevelopmental Pathway team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work closely with our Autism and ADHD teams, participating in safe and effective assessments for children, young people, and their families.

This role requires the ability to liaise with the wider system across health, education, and social care to provide comprehensive support to families of children with suspected ASD & ADHD. You will be expected to work autonomously across Birmingham, taking the lead in preliminary assessments of new referrals using agreed assessment tools and analysis of resulting information.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within and awareness of issues relating to management of ADHD, including assessment of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families, and carers. You will be able to demonstrate individual responsibility in respect of Health and Safety, as well as knowledge of Children's development and Child Protection procedures.

This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
