Job Title: Management AccountantWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team of eight in central Bristol. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tasks of the Accounting function within the finance team, ensuring month-end is delivered on time and to a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver month-end, including posting journals, ensuring accuracy of the ledger, and managing deadlines within the Accounting team.
- Implement accounting policies and procedures and ensure adherence to these.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations to ensure a controlled environment.
- Monthly payroll process, including journals.
- Monthly VAT returns.
- R&D tax credits.
- Provide support and mentoring to the Financial Accountant and Assistant Accountant.
- Liaise with the FP&A Manager, particularly during the month-end process.
- Assist with the annual audit.
- Assist with due diligence through major share issues and investment rounds.
- Fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
- Excellent Excel skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to self-motivate and work autonomously.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- A keenness to learn and take responsibility.
- Good communication skills.
