About the Role

Eden Scott is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our wealth management firm, you will play a vital role in supporting our Financial Advisers and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of Suitability Reports: You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive suitability reports for our clients, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and presented in a clear and concise manner.
  2. Liaising with Product Providers: You will work closely with product providers to collate pension and investment information for replacement contracts, ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained and processed efficiently.
  3. Technical Support and Research: You will provide technical support to the team, assisting with paraplanning and research tasks, and contributing to the development of new ideas and initiatives.
  4. Market Research and Due Diligence: You will conduct market research on behalf of our Financial Advisers, gathering information on investment opportunities and assisting with due diligence reviews of investment funds and platforms.
  5. Support to Financial Advisers: You will provide administrative support to our Financial Advisers, ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong background in paraplanning, with experience in pensions and investments. You will also need to have excellent report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Experience of using research tools such as FE Analytics and knowledge of Intelligent Office or Xplan would be advantageous.
