About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated DT Specialist Teacher to join our team at a large mainstream Secondary School in Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students aged 11-16, with opportunities to work with the 6th form.

The school is committed to providing a supportive environment for all staff, with a strong focus on professional development and CPD. Our ideal candidate will have recent graduate status, a 2:1 or higher degree, and previous experience working in a UK school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach DT lessons to students aged 11-16
  • To plan and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • To assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
  • Have up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
  • Hold an enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
