The Role - What We're Looking For

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cost Consultant. The successful candidate will support our directors in delivering a high standard of service to our clients, achieving successful outcomes, and capturing and sharing knowledge across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to clients
  • Deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for project completion
  • Undertake commercial management services with limited supervision
  • Deliver work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Support the project lead or senior cost manager in cost management of projects
  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, meeting with clients to form strong working relationships

Requirements

  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • A minimum of three years' technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
  • Pre- and post-contract experience
  • Experience in using estimating software, including in connection with Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
  • Experience in reporting to external clients
