About the Role

ABMI, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Building Safety Adviser to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in resolving challenging issues to support the construction, commissioning, and safe operation of the Nuclear Power Plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain safety cases to support normal operations and fault scenarios during the generation and defueling phases of operation.
  • Provide technical leadership to define and deliver safety case requirements to ensure compliance within a regulated environment.
  • Deliver consultancy that meets and exceeds client expectations in terms of technical excellence and quality of deliverables.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects as a project or technical lead, delivering work within budget and to agreed programme.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on technical and commercial progress, developing skills in growing projects.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within the Nuclear industry.
  • Understanding of the safety case production process and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with areas such as decommissioning, optioneering, best practice, human factors, radioactive materials transport, licensing/de-licensing, and radioactive waste.
  • A Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or a related field of study.
