About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Medical Writer to join our team at Ogilvy Health, a global network in healthcare communications. As a Senior Medical Writer, you will play a key role in developing high-quality scientific content that resonates with audiences and drives results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop compelling scientific content for various external engagements, congress, and scientific communications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all scientific communications meet client objectives and brand standards
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the medical writing team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to inform scientific communications decisions
  • Contribute to the full range of medical education/communication programmes
  • Review and deliver high-quality scientific content, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Lead scientific discussions with clients and external experts, face-to-face and on calls
  • Contribute to scientific strategy to inform tactical planning of accounts, both internally and with clients
  • Identify organic growth opportunities on accounts
  • Contribute to the scientific development of proposals and pitches
  • Line management, mentoring, coaching, and training
What You'll Need:
  • Solid experience in a Medical Writer capacity
  • Therapy area experience, project types, and audiences for which you have written
  • Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and adaptability
  • Familiarity with organic growth and contributing to proposals and pitches
  • Ability to deliver events and large educational programmes, and experience of digital projects
  • Deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry
