About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Ground Terminal Operations Specialist to join our team at a field site in Harrogate, UK.

This position may be filled at a level 3 or 4, requiring a two-year commitment and ability to pass a physical and psychological exam. The chosen candidate will utilize their expertise and experience to ensure the availability of critical mission systems, providing time-critical observation, assessment, repair, and monitoring of complex communications systems and data links.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore mission-critical operations.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation tasks on various electrical equipment and devices related to satellite communications.
  • Utilize technical writing skills to document equipment failures, prepare status reports, and contribute to developing concepts of operations (CONOPs) and improving communication system operations.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve complex problems and improve overall system performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) plus 5 years of technical/engineering experience OR Master of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) plus 3 years of technical/engineering experience.
  • Willingness to complete a two-year overseas tour commitment.
  • Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
