Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing site facilities, plant, and equipment, and updating all relevant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reactive maintenance and tasks in line with machinery PPM schedules
  • Maintain documents to ensure they are correct and up to date
  • Assist in continuous improvement ideas and projects
  • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Report machinery breakdowns / PPM status for shift handover
  • Provide realistic time / cost estimates for completion of maintenance tasks
  • Assist in the sourcing and purchasing of spare parts and equipment
Requirements:
  • Fully apprenticeship trained, mechanically biased multi-skilled engineer.
  • Mechanical qualifications of Level 3 standard or higher
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or ideally heavy industry sector
