This is a unique opportunity to join Prior Park Schools as a Senior Horticulturalist. As a senior member of our grounds team, you will be responsible for maintaining our 60 acres of gardens, grounds, and outdoor spaces.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in horticulture, turf management, and landscaping, with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. You will lead a team of gardeners and grounds persons in implementing new initiatives and improving existing practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain statutory compliance checks and records, including annual tree inspections and sports/play equipment.
- Obtain quotations and work with external contractors as required.
- Meet routinely with internal stakeholders to review and improve service performance.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair all hard/soft landscaping across the sites.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 or equivalent in turf management or Horticulture.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience working across both grounds and gardens roles in a large organisation.
- Good knowledge of machinery and vehicle maintenance.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
