About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Tolson Grange in Huddersfield. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in line with health, safety, and hygiene requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, using fresh ingredients and following established recipes.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed, including proper handling and storage of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served on time, and that the kitchen is running efficiently.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge in food safety, health and safety, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment, with a focus on food safety and health and safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach.
