Job Opportunity: Research Fellow in Road User Behaviour

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic researcher with an interest in human behaviour and advanced data analytics or modelling to join our team at the University of Leeds. As a Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of researchers who are at the forefront of research in traffic psychology and human road user interaction.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of novel solutions to complex problems in traffic safety and efficiency. You will be working closely with our team to design and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, building on real-world data and solid theoretical foundations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in human behaviour and data analytics, with a focus on road transport
  • Collaborate with our team to design and evaluate interventions in traffic safety and efficiency
  • Develop and apply computational models of human behaviour
  • Contribute to the development of policy, infrastructure, and technologies that prioritize proper consideration of human behaviour

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A strong background in traffic psychology, human behaviour, or a related fieldExperience in data analytics or computational modellingExcellent communication and collaboration skills
