Senior Proposal Development Engineer

We're on the lookout for an exceptional Bid Strategy Specialist to join our West European team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in securing new business opportunities by crafting compelling and well-structured proposals. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with various internal stakeholders, analyze project requirements, develop technical solutions, and present comprehensive proposals that exceed client expectations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective bid strategies to drive growth and revenue.
- Analyze incoming requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and invitations to bid (ITBs) to identify opportunities and risks.
- Conduct thorough technical and commercial analysis of project specifications and constraints to ensure proposals meet client needs.
- Create visually appealing and professional proposal documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop winning bid strategies and ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Identify and evaluate risks, challenges, and potential mitigations associated with proposed projects.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, engineering teams, and vendors to gather relevant information and technical details for proposals.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of proposal content to facilitate future projects.
- Support post-proposal activities such as clarification meetings, negotiations, and contract handover to project teams.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in estimating or a similar role within the energy sector.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of complex engineering concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Languages: Native English speaker.

Earnings and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
