Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and influential Chief Finance Officer to join our team at NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in leadership roles, with experience of navigating complex and politically sensitive environments. You will be responsible for leading and influencing the development of our financial and resourcing strategy, working closely with our executive colleagues to support the delivery of our long-term plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our financial and resourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to our executive team, ensuring effective decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with our partners across the integrated care system to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to drive improvements in health and social care services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including our board, executive team, and external partners.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of operating at a senior/board level, with a strong track record of promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Recent and relevant experience in a large and complex organization, with a deep understanding of ICBs, ICS, and ICPs.
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex and politically sensitive environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective financial models and strategies.
