About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Policy Lead to join our team at Pearson. As a key member of our Data Division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and security of all data analytics across Pearson UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, integrity, and accessibility of our Data Lake
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement security framework for all users
  • Implement processes to audit/monitor data quality and security
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations
  • Oversee the analytical usage of the Data Lake
  • Work with end-users to ensure data is being used appropriately
  • Audit self-serve reports to ensure relevance and accuracy
  • Eulogise Data Governance across the business
  • Provide training and support to analysts and other stakeholders on data governance best practices
  • Promote a culture of data literacy and responsible data usage across the organisation.
  • Advise on Data Standards within Pearson and across the wider education sector
  • Work with Data, and Security teams to ensure that data standards are relevant, up to date, and adhered to
  • Liaise with other Awarding Organisations to drive positive change in homogenising data
