English Instructor Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate English Instructor to join our team at a specialist SEMH school in Southend. As an English Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and accessible lessons to students with SEMH needs, helping them develop their literacy skills and confidence in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-prepared English lessons to students with SEMH needs, adapting your teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Support students in improving their literacy, communication, and comprehension skills, fostering a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Manage classroom behavior calmly and constructively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Experience teaching or instructing English, preferably in an SEMH or special education setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with vulnerable students, with strong classroom management skills.
  • The ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning needs, with flexibility and adaptability to respond to the needs of the school day.
