Met Office Property Management Industrial Placement

We are recruiting an industrious student to join our Property Management (Estates) team as an Industrial Placement, offering a 12-month opportunity to gain practical experience in estate management.

This placement will involve working on projects that contribute to the Met Office's operations and services, providing a valuable chance to develop skills and knowledge in estate strategy, landlord & tenant matters, stakeholder engagement, and data management.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will assist in implementing strategic business drivers and policies, engage in landlord & tenant matters, collaborate with stakeholders, and maintain effective records and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement strategic business drivers and policies to develop knowledge and skills.
  • Manage landlord & tenant relationships to maximise and optimise estate performance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide timely professional advice on estate management and project delivery.
  • Enhance data capture and knowledge through effective record-keeping and system maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited degree in Real Estate Management or a related field.

  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
